Some mornings you just know. Everything feels heavier than usual
— the to-do list, the roles you play, the expectations. And somewhere underneath it all is a version of you that you haven't had time to check in with lately.
That feeling is where Portrait Dreaminders started.
I'm Vivian, a mixed media artist based in Athens. About a year ago, one question wouldn't leave me alone: what if a painting could work like a Post-it on the fridge? Not a grand piece hung in a hallway for people to admire and walk past — something small. Personal. Something that sits on your desk, your mirror, your phone screen, and quietly says: Hey. Remember who you are.
So I started making them.
Here's how it works.
Before we meet, I'll send you three unfinished phrases to complete — nothing clinical, nothing that needs soul-searching at midnight. Just a starting point for when we sit down together. The session itself runs about 30 minutes, and it feels less like an appointment and more like a good conversation over coffee.
While we talk, I take photos — casually, no posing, no "chin up, look here." You'll barely notice. And here's the part I love: even I don't know yet which photo becomes the painting. That gets decided later, quietly, in the studio. Which means when the portrait arrives two weeks after, it's a genuine surprise — to you, and usually to me too.
You put it somewhere you'll see it daily. Desk, mirror, fridge — wherever feels right.
Two weeks after that, I ask three follow-up questions. That's usually when something shifts.

These aren't reviews. They're messages people sent me two weeks later, unprompted, in the middle of ordinary days. That's what the Portrait Dreaminder does — not dramatically, not all at once, just quietly, every time you glance at it.
The first portraits were shown this summer at Energy Athens 2026, at the European Centre Athens. To everyone who came, stopped, and stood in front of them — thank you. Watching that happen was everything.
Season 2026–2027 is now open. €150 — acrylics on canvas-textured paper, 18×24cm, with a Certificate of Authenticity. Sessions are scheduled around both our calendars, so whenever you're ready, reach out and we'll find a time.
Maybe you've been meaning to do something just for yourself. Maybe this year took more than it gave. Maybe you just have a feeling that underneath everything, there's a version of you worth remembering.

Αυτά που Ονειρ-Έρχονται
Ξεκινάει η Σεζόν 2026–2027.
Κάποια πρωινά το ξέρεις αμέσως. Όλα φαίνονται πιο βαριά — η λίστα "to do ", οι ρόλοι που παίζεις, οι προσδοκίες. Και κάπου κάτω από όλα αυτά, υπάρχει μια εκδοχή του εαυτού σου που δεν πρόλαβες να επισκεφτείς εδώ και καιρό.
Από εκεί ξεκίνησαν Αυτά που Ονειρ-Έρχονται.
Είμαι η Βίβιαν, εικαστικός mixed media με βάση την Αθήνα. Πριν από περίπου ένα χρόνο, μια ερώτηση δεν με άφηνε σε ησυχία: τι θα γινόταν αν ένας πίνακας λειτουργούσε σαν ένα Post-it στο ψυγείο; Όχι ένα μεγάλο έργο κρεμασμένο σε κάποιο διάδρομο που οι άνθρωποι θαυμάζουν και προσπερνούν — κάτι μικρό. Προσωπικό. Κάτι που κάθεται στο γραφείο σου, στον καθρέφτη σου, στην οθόνη του κινητού σου, και σου λέει ήσυχα: Έι. Θυμήσου ποιος/α είσαι.
Και άρχισα να τα φτιάχνω.
Λειτουργεί ως εξής.
Πριν συναντηθούμε, θα σου στείλω τρεις φράσεις να συμπληρώσεις — δεν θα χρειαστεί ψυχανάλυση, ό,τι σου βγει αυθόρμητα. Θα είναι απλώς το σημείο εκκίνησης για όταν καθίσουμε μαζί. Η συνάντηση διαρκεί περίπου 30 λεπτά, και μοιάζει περισσότερο με κουβέντα και παρέα για καφέ.
Ενώ μιλάμε, τραβάω φωτογραφίες — χαλαρά, χωρίς πόζες, χωρίς "σήκωσε το κεφάλι, κοίτα εδώ". Σχεδόν δεν θα το προσέξεις. Και αυτό που αγαπάω περισσότερο: ούτε εγώ ξέρω ακόμα ποια φωτογραφία θα γίνει πίνακας. Αυτό αποφασίζεται αργότερα, ήσυχα, στο studio. Που σημαίνει ότι όταν παραλάβεις το πορτραίτο περίπου δύο εβδομάδες μετά, είναι μια πραγματική έκπληξη — για σένα, και συνήθως και για μένα.
Το τοποθετείς κάπου που θα το βλέπεις συχνά .. Στο γραφείο, στον καθρέφτη, στο ΨΥΓΕΙΟ ίσως!... Δύο εβδομάδες μετά, σου στέλνω τρεις follow-up ερωτήσεις... Ίσως κάτι αλλάξει...
«Εκείνη τη στιγμή, δεν καταλαβαίνεις πλήρως όλα όσα συμβαίνουν. Μόνο αργότερα αρχίζεις να καταλαβαίνεις τι έχει συντελεστεί. Αυτά που ονειρεύεσαι βρίσκουν πραγματικά τον δρόμο τους προς εσένα!!!!»
«Όσο κουρασμένη ή καταβεβλημένη κι αν νιώθω, μερικές φορές το μόνο που βλέπω είναι τα μάτια μου πίσω από την οθόνη του υπολογιστή — και για μένα, χαμογελούν. Με επανασυνδέουν αμέσως με τη γαλήνη και την αγάπη που κουβαλάω μέσα μου.»
«Αυτή η διαδικασία ρίχνει ένα μικρό φως μέσα σου — αποκαλύπτει μια εκδοχή του εαυτού σου που ήδη κουβαλάς. Έναν εαυτό που θέλεις να γίνεις.»
«Είναι μια οπτική υπενθύμιση να μένω ήρεμη και να χαμογελώ, ό,τι κι αν έρθει.»
Δεν είναι κριτικές. Είναι μηνύματα που μου έστειλαν άνθρωποι δύο εβδομάδες μετά, αυθόρμητα. Αυτό κάνει το Αυτά που Ονειρ-Έρχονται — λειτουργεί ήσυχα.. κάθε φορά που το αντικρίζεις.
Τα πρώτα πορτραίτα παρουσιάστηκαν αυτό το καλοκαίρι στο Energy Athens 2026, στο European Centre Athens. Σε όλους όσοι ήρθαν — ευχαριστώ. Ήταν όνειρο να μοιραστώ την ιδέα μετά από τόσους μήνες...
Η σεζόν 2026–2027 έχει ανοίξει.
€150 — ακρυλικά σε χαρτί με υφή καμβά, 18×24εκ, με Πιστοποιητικό Αυθεντικότητας. Κλείνουμε ραντεβού όποτε μας βολεύει — οπότε όταν είσαι έτοιμος/η, επικοινώνησε μαζί μου και βρίσκουμε μια ώρα.
Ίσως ήθελες εδώ και καιρό να κάνεις κάτι αποκλειστικά για σένα. Ίσως αυτή η χρονιά πήρε περισσότερα από όσα έδωσε. Ίσως απλώς νιώθεις ότι κάπου κάτω από όλα, υπάρχει μια εκδοχή σου που αξίζει να θυμηθείς.
